Watson Suspended 11 Games and Fined $5 Million in Sexual Misconduct

The NFL originally wanted a one-year suspension

but after an arbitrator suggested a six-game suspension, the two sides came to an agreement.

The NFL appealed what many believed to be a mild six-game penalty for allegations of sexual assault

 Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, will now serve an 11-game suspension and pay a record $5 million fine

Watson must go through a behavioural expert evaluation and a treatment programme, the league declared on Thursday.

The Browns and the league will contribute $1 million apiece to organisations

Commissioner Roger Goodell stated in a statement that Deshaun "has committed to undertaking the hard work

 11-game suspension and pay a record $5 million fine.
