MLB reveals postseason schedule with World Series

The wild-card round will have a new format in the MLB postseason.

On Monday, Major League Baseball released its postseason schedule, with the possibility that the World Series would take place at the latest time ever.

The series will be a best-of-three format, with the victor advancing to the next division.

If necessary, the series' third game will be played on October 9.

ESPN, ABC, and ESPN2 will all broadcast the games.

The final wild-card team will play the third-best team. Both of the other wild-card teams will play one another.

If necessary, Game 5 of the ALDS will take place on October 17 after Game 5 of the NLDS on October 16.

Additionally, the National League and American League Championship Series will be broadcast on FOX, FS1, and TBS.

Game 1 will take place on October 28 and Game 7 will be on November 5.

The World Series concluded on October 27 in the coronavirus-affected 2020 season.
